EcoPods are generally built on the client’s site. Where the property, access and project requirements allow, off-site construction at Perway’s Greenwood yard may be an option. We prioritise quality and customer experience, offering a 12-month defects liability period for peace of mind. What site factors should I consider for an Ecopod or granny flat?
Every property is different. We review the site requirements early so the design, approvals and installation approach suit your block.
✅ Bushfire Requirements – If your site is in a bushfire-prone area, additional measures may be needed to bring your building to the necessary BAL rating.
✅ Site Preparation & Access – Access, existing trees, slope and ground conditions influence the design and construction plan. We assess these before work begins.
✅ Service Connections – Your Ecopod is built fully wired and plumbed, ready for connection. Depending on your area, you may need a qualified electrician, plumber, or septic system installation. We’ll organise this for you.
✅ Crane Access (If Needed) – Some sites with limited access may require a crane to lift and position the Ecopod. We’ll check this in advance and arrange everything if needed.
✅ Landscaping & Driveways – Tell us about any planned fencing, paths or driveways so they can be considered alongside the project.
✅ Transport & Installation – The approach depends on your location and site access, and we’ll explain what is required for your property.
✅ We take care of all planning, approvals, and logistics—so you get a stress-free, seamless experience.
